Along with other bands like SkyDog, Guys with Ties, and Manifest Destiny, Mike is best known as the founder/songwriter/lead Troy Westfield of his band of the last 25-plus years, the ‘impossibly hard-rocking’ Troy Westfield Experience (TimeOut New York). Power pop and shoegaze aesthetics filter through a Radiohead lens to create a songwriting style you probably won’t confuse with Radiohead anytime soon. His guitar playing was once described as ‘audible.’
